JOHANNESBURG – Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has denied allegations by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) that she was shifted from the Defence Department to the public service and administration portfolio because she refused to give the Gupta familya tender to lease aeroplanes to the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
The EFF’s Deputy President Floyd Shivambu made the allegations at aHuman Rights Day event in the Eastern Cape.
In a brief statement, Sisulu says she's aware of the allegations made by the EFF deputy president.
But she says she has no knowledge of her redeployment to the Public Service and Administration Department being directed by the Gupta family.
The EFF has maintained that it's able to prove all of its claims in a court of law and have challenged the Guptas to sue them.
The Guptas have denied all of the allegations against them.
Meanwhile, African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Gwede Mantashe is now waiting to see who will approach his office with more evidence that the Gupta family has been offering people Cabinet posts and using their political influence to advance their businesses.
