JOA Presence at Durban Cenotaph Remembrance Day Service


The Reserve Force Council Junior Officers' Association (RFCJOA) KwaZulu-Natal region came out in numbers at the Remembrance Sunday memorial service in Durban on 12 November 2018.

The service was conducted under the auspices of the South African Legion, and took place at the Durban Cenotaph located in Farewell Square near the City Hall.

Among those who attended, notable participants were Lieutenant General Aubrey Sedibe - Surgeon General of the South African Military Health Service (SAMHS), attending on behalf of Chief SANDF); Deputy Mayor of Durban, Councillor Fawzia Peer on behalf of Mayor Councillor Zandile Gumede; and Honorary British Consul in Durban Mr David Warmback.

JOA members laid wreaths at the service, seen here from left to right of picture - Lieutenant B.E. Mthembu - Durban Regiment; Second Lieutenant Madlala - Natal Carbineers; Lieutenant L.P. Cele 19 Field Engineer Regiment; Lieutenant M. Zilozi - Natal Mounted Rifles, and Captain D.R. Mdlalose - Natal Mounted Rifles.
